If you’re encountering a tamper error on your Honeywell 5800COMBO carbon monoxide detector, it means the panel believes the sensor cover isn’t securely attached. Resolve this issue by following the step-by-step instructions provided below.


Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Turn the sensor counter-clockwise to remove from baseplate.

2. Align the sensor over the baseplate, and turn clockwise while pressing against the baseplate to reinstall. When the sensor snaps into place, the tamper sensor should detect the error is corrected
