A tamper error occurs when the panel is reading that the translator’s cover is not attached properly. To address the tamper error on your RE524X translator, follow the instructions below.
- Open the cover by lifting the tab on the right side of the translato
- You may also need to clear the error from the panel memory.
- Ensure all wires are neatly arranged and the battery is conforming to the battery compartment. Swing the device door back to close the translator, ensuring the cover closes tightly and snaps into place without any obstruction.
