Silence trouble

  • Press the Acknowledge button
  • Press the Silence button
  • Once that is done, correct the problem that is shown on the screen
  • Press the Reset button
  • If the alarm continues to go off after you have followed all of the above steps, please just press Acknowledge and then press Silence and call Indiana Alarm for further help
  • Panel Control Buttons
    • Acknowledge/Step
      • The first press of the Acknowledge/Step button silences the sounder, changes flashing LEDs to steady, and changes the status field on the LCD display from capital letters to small letters
      • The second press of the Acknowledge/Step button stops the scrolling and holds the event on the display for one minute
      • Subsequent pressing of the Acknowledge/Step button cycles through each active event
    • Alarm Silence
      • The Alarm Silence button performs the same functions as the Acknowledge/Step button
      • If an alarm exists, it turns off all silenceable notification appliance circuits (NAC) and causes the Alarm Silenced LED to turn on
      • The Alarm Silenced LED is turned off by pressing the Reset button or the Drill button
    • Drill
      • When the Drill button is held for a minimum of 2 seconds, the FACP turns on all main panel NAC outputs and all silenceable circuits such as control modules that are programmed as silenceable, and turns off the Alarm Silenced LED if it was previously on
      • The EVAC in System message will be shown on the LCD Display
      • The Alarm Silence button can be used to turn off all silenceable NAC outputs following activation of the Drill button
    • Reset
      • Pressing and releasing the Reset button turns off all control modules and NACs, temporarily turns off resettable power to 4-wire smoke detectors and causes a Reset in System message to be displayed on the LCD
      • It performs a lam test by turning on all LEDs (except the Ground LED), sounder and LCD display segments after the Reset button is
